Halloween

For Halloween this year, we had...
CAP-TAIN A-MERICA, a star-nosed mole, and a grumpy little elephant.
Miles decided to be Captain America after falling in love with the sparkly shield and BIG muscles.
In typical Max form, he decided to be a star-nosed mole (one of the most random animals of the world) during the summer, and never changed his mind.
Calvin didn't want to be anything for Halloween. We tried and tried to talk him into certain costumes, but he kept saying no. Finally the week before Halloween he decided to be an elephant - until it came time to actually dress up! We forced him to take a couple pictures before trick or treating, but after that the elephant trunk and ears were quickly taken off.
Soooo tired...
To celebrate Halloween at Max's school, they had book character dress up day.
Max dressed up as the Pigeon!
The week before Halloween, we went to the Hexter Howl Fun Run and Carnival.
Max and Daddy ran in the Fun Run together...
Max entered the costume contest, and won 3rd place for the scariest costume!
I don't think the judges knew what he was. :)
 Fun at the carnival...

This was the 1st year for the boys to go to the State Fair, and they had a blast!
Some of the highlights for them were:
Working on the farm...
Playing games...
The huge petting zoo...
and of course, the food!
