Three Snakes and a Bird

On two separate occasions we found snakes while raking big leaf piles!
Max was a little weary with the first one, but is now an expert snake handler.

Calvin and Miles were sick during the first snake encounter, so missed out on most of the action. 

But, after watching our animal expert, Max, take care of his 'pet',

our daredevil, Calvin, was all set to hold it too!

Miles was very happy with his stick!

A few days later, we found a sickly bird while at the splash park. We thought it was dead, but before I could stop him, Calvin walked right up to it and touched its head. The bird opened his eyes, but didn't move - poor thing. Max really wanted to nurse it back to health, but was a very good listener and didn't get any closer than this.
